Analisis Lunturnya Kesadaran Gen Z terhadap Nilai-Nilai Hukum Adat di Era Modernisasi

Abstract

Humans are perfect creatures, created with all the completeness of reason, intellect, and norms. However, sometimes all of that is diverted by changes due to a single problem. This study aims to analyze and try to restore the values ​​of customary law that have begun to fade in Gen Z (the generation born between 1997 and 2012) in the era of modernization. In this study, an empirical research method was used by searching for data in the field as the main data source, namely by conducting observations and interviews with Gen Z. The results of the study indicate that the influence of the erosion of customary law values ​​on Gen Z is influenced by several factors, such as the era of globalization which has had quite serious impacts. Therefore, efforts are needed to restore the problem of the erosion of awareness of customary law values ​​​​in Gen Z in the era of modernization through the restoration and implementation of customary law values ​​​​that have faded in community life to the thoughts and lifestyles of Gen Z in the era of modernization. This study is expected to provide benefits, especially for Gen Z and the wider community to understand the importance of customary law values ​​​​so that they are not abandoned.
